Quarterly Labour Cost Survey: It is a continuous quarterly statistical operation whose fundamental objective is to know the evolution of the average labour cost per worker and month, the average labour cost per effective hour of work and the time worked and not worked.

Costs Temporary Disability

AMAT (Association of Mutual Societies for Work-related Accidents) estimates the costs of temporary incapacity for companies, mutual societies and management companies. According to AMAT, The cost of temporary disability due to non-work-related accidents and illnesses in 2019 was estimated in more than €96,600 million as follows:

  • Financial benefits for TI (Mutual Societies collaborating with the Social Security Institute and Social Security Management Bodies): €8,455.33 million.
  • Direct cost for companies: €8,228.06 million.
  • Opportunity cost: AMAT estimates the opportunity cost based on the goods and services that were discontinued in 2018. These costs are estimated to amount to €79,984.14 million.
