The pandemic has triggered absenteeism rates to levels not seen since last century

Last year, the absenteeism rate reached 5.5% in Spain, which was the highest figure in the last 20 years. However, the irruption of Covid-19 triggered this rate up to 6.3% in the first quarter of this year and up to 8.9% in the second quarter, the highest figures since last century, according to the latest report by the Adecco Group Institute, the Adecco Group's research and dissemination centre.
